mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Gyro
Hummus
Stuffed grape leaves with feta
Diet Coke

much with the happiness and smileage.

I'll probably have a wave of peace hit me here in about a minute - food has been my drug this past week. I'm getting a rush of relaxation after certain foods just like I get with codeine. so bring it on, bruddah

Okay everybody, start humming "Gentle On My Mind".....

Now read:

It's knowin' that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me keep my robe a lyin'
stretched across the bottom of your bed

Sometimes I get an idea in my head, and can't get it out until the deed is done. New lyrics are so much fun:

It's knowing that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to keep my robe a lyin’
stretched across the bottom of your bed
And it's knowing we’re not shackled
By forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some line
That keeps me in the backroads
By the rivers of your mem'ry
And keeps me ever gentle on your mind

It's not clinging to the morning glories
Planted ‘neath your stairs now that binds me
Or something that somebody said
Because you know we fit together walking
It's just knowing that the world will not be cursing
Or forgiving when I walk along some hall way here and find
That you are moving on the backroads
By the rivers of my mem'ry
And for hours we’re just gentle on my mind

Though the file rooms and the fax lines
And the stairways and coworkers come between us
And some other woman’s crying to her mother
Then you turned and she was gone
I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face
And the alcohol might burn you 'til you’re blind
But not to where you cannot see me walkin' on the backroads
By the rivers flowing gentle on your mind

I dip up your spaghetti sauce
And fix a couple meatballs on your plate
Your beard a roughning coal pile and
Your hair pulled loose and curled around your face
Your cupped hands 'round my fat cheeks
Will pull me to your breast and then you'll find
That while you wander down those backroads
By the rivers of your mem'ry
I’ll be waitin’ ever gentle on your mind

I was just thinking yesterday that if any man could make me half as happy as food/some foods make me, then I might venture out of my bachelorettehood. But alas, tis never happened. Not even close.

Nope, me either. If my contentment lasted longer than my orgasm, I'd consider that a close second.

I love that song. :)

Also, I covet your food in the worst way. I am home sick, and starving, and my slaves just left on a mission which included getting me lunch. But alas, the word "hurry" is not in their vocabulary.

I've always loved that song too. It was one of those things that was woven together with my childhood ideals of love and womanhood and marriage.

and Merlot. There has been a parade of Merlot...

I hate Merlot. I just can't handle dark wines, unless they're a pure berry flavor.

yep, I understand. I have specific tastes. Not all Merlot. My cheap fav is Alice White. I can get it for $7/bottle locally and it doesn't have that harsh bite at the end. But I do prefer dry to sweet.

yummmm.
there's a Mediterranean place near the office that is SO AMAZINGLY YUMMY. Their chicken shish kabobs are to die for and the baba ganoush is ... *drool.
I'm going to go stand at the door until they open!

mmmmbabaganoush

There was this man, making pizza at this place, and I swear I could have eaten him with a spoon. And he was checking me out, too. But men never ask me out, they just stare. And I'm not interested in putting myself out there to ask one.
