Spring! I haz itz!

mynewplaceI found tulips in the back yard flower bed last night! YAY!!!!! They are almost mulched completely over, but I pulled a lot of the dried leaves etc. off them. We're leaving work at lunch today, so we'll head for Lowes and get a couple of rakes and some other yard implements. Then I can remove leaves with fervor! And also rake up the gravel in the front flower bed. I've GOT to take pictures before I start, so that when I finally get my computer set up I can upload before and after shots. Oh I'm so excited!
We are planning to pick up a couple more pieces of furniture from a friend tomorrow, including a nicer table and chairs for the deck. I sat on the deck yesterday evening and read the paper after I got home from work. That was unbelievably pleasant. There will be two more bookshelves, and possibly a china cabinet (my fingers are crossed). We decided last night to ask my stepdad to design some shelves for the fireplace, to hold the new LCD t.v. and more of Brent's VHS/CD/DVD collection. We haven't bought the t.v. yet, still waiting on Brent's income tax return.
Plans for this weekend also include seeing Alice In Wonderland. We've seen so many 3D movies in the last year I could outfit a theater with glasses. We don't recycle them, we bring them home. Not sure why. Just do.
One more hour and then we're outta here, so I'm going to try and do a little more work. Later, gators!

Date: 2010-03-19 03:52 pm (UTC)Got screwed a few weeks back when went to Dances With Smurfs as the one 3-D cinema was being used for AIWL.
Anyway, glad to see that da grass has rizz down there; it started in Januray here, to hnour the Olympics, of course.
