I have a new hate for LiveJournal.  I'm getting FAT ads, although they have NOTHING to do with the type of advertisement in which I indicated an interest.

I upgraded to plus so I could get my scrap book back.  I might upgrade to paid again in a few weeks, depending on how my budget looks.  Otherwise I am fine with the current status quo here.

That's why I swear by Firefox with AdBlock Plus. No ads at all!

Well I see we were recommending the exact same thing at the exact same time. :)

Maybe someday, when I have internet at home, I'll have Firefox again. And someday, my prince will come.

*blinks* You can't have Firefox at work? That's odd... all the computers at Marshall have it installed by default.

That's probably because Marshall staff is smarter than the ITO staff of the State of West Virginia.

Except probably is too generous. Cause we know the truth of that statement.

Heh. I dunno, Computing Services makes some pretty idiotic decisions, but yeah, you're probably right.

What browser do you use? If you have firefox you can download an adblocker program and you won't see those shitty ads anymore. It gets rid of most of the shit on a lot of sites. Give it a try and make your life easier.

I am not allowed to download ANYthing onto my work computer. I'm not even allowed to change the fucking clock in the corner, and it loses time every day. So getting Firefox is outta da question.

Ugh, that's ridiculous. I mean, I'm all for saving idiot computer users from themselves (not saying that you're one...), but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Firefox.

I have to get my paid account back so I can edit comments. And I went a whole year with one and I never voice-posted.

I'd keep it if I were you - sometimes they create hilarious results http://britishcowgirl.livejournal.com/14679.html

Little by little, I find myself migrating more toward Face Book....I am "Julie Ann Lewis" over there if you have one and feel inclined to friend me there. Oh...BTW...I thought about you this past weekend....We were in W VA on Fri-Sat for a sailing regatta meet for my daughter's school at the Univ of Charleston. What a beautiful setting!

UC is indeed a beautiful place. We enjoy watching the crew practice when we're on our way to yard sales early Saturday mornings. I drive by it every day on my way to work.

Wow...We were so close and never knew it. I didn't know you were in Charleston. It's a beautiful place. We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Kanawah St. downtown along the river just one night.
