hmmm there's only one question on here with an option id choose.

#1 - I read. If I have something to say that I havent said 100 times to you before I comment.

#2 - Just read it for the first time.

#3 - Yes, but I don't see why I would read it regularly :/ I read your post, so there's no need to read the memories. Your past stuff, while I'm sure is great, I don't really have the patience to go through and find things. sorry.

#4 - I'm bored AND you always have a point, you're a woman. We don't do things just for the hell of it. (well not things like this)

#5 - I don't feel its my place to give my opinon on your writing. Writing is something very personal, especially the material you write about. I'm not an editor anymore, and if I didn't like something I don't think I'd be able to be honest with you. I've seen your wrath, I don't want it angled towards me.

Okay, the answers were made primarily in jest, so those people who give me straight up answers, like you always do, don't need to play along. I don't expect ANYone to go back through those memories (unless they're trying to get inside my head with ulterior motives) But when asking that question I was hoping to learn if anyone had seen something specific they liked, or felt would be good fodder for submission somewhere.

I need you to understand something, Nita. The people that I get angry with are disrespectful and insulting toward me personally. While I have had only a couple of people comment about my writing in that manner, I don't believe you would be one of them. I don't believe that your opinion of my writing would EVER be disrespectful or insulting, but I DO believe that you could be blunt with me. You are intelligent, well read, and your command of language is admirable. The reason we are friends is because I respect you as a smart woman - I see you as my mental equal or better. Because what I write is personal in nature, I'm aware of the feeling it can evoke. But I'm not always aware when I'm too sentimental, too gushy, or any of those other things that I see sometimes when I go back over things, after they're cold.

I had no IDEA you had ever BEEN an editor, and that makes me want to grab your ankles and beg and plead with you to be on my filter, and give me your gods honest opinions. But I'm not going to do that, because I respect your choice. I hope you'll reconsider. But whether you consent or not, I'll still love and admire you.

That was a funny poll! If you put me on your writing filter, I will read what you write, and I may comment if my life allows. I can't promise when that will be, and you need to know that not commenting is not a comment. In other words (like on the posting pages) any number of good or important posts might go by before I am in a place to add my comments, because... it's all about me, baby! Ummm... Ignore the voices, ignore the voices... What I meant to say is it is all about what weird shit is going on in my life at that moment, and how much energy I have to put out to others in the world.

By the way, the peaches piece? Delicious! (As a commentary purely on the writing structure, I find it very difficult to read large blocks of text that are not broken up into paragraphs. See the above jumbled mess for an example of what makes my head hurt, when I read it, and what I generally try to avoid in my writing.)

Well noted. I might have broken it up, had I written it this year, as opposed to last year, because I have a tendency to do that more now. I'll look at it; I'm not certain that it would lend itself to many breaks. The flow (ahem) of thought seems an important aspect.

But this is exactly what I need to hear. Things that make sense, make me think, and give me a fresh aspect. I understand the 'all about me' business. Boy do I ever.
