I relate. I have "mild" cognitive impairment from fibromyalgia, but it doesn't feel mild to me. I sometimes feel like I've become functionally retarded when I start losing words or mixing up homophones. It's annoying as heck!
With the hand shaking thing, if you're on any psychoactive meds, it can cause that. Even if it never caused any problem before. I have to change my antidepressant about once every two years, or I'll develop a shaking hand, a twitching eyelid, or some such weird symptoms. It sucks, because if I find something that's working for me, I know I've only got a limited shelf-life on it before that starts happening. It doesn't work that way for everyone, but I'm one of the 'lucky' ones, I guess.
