And I wanted to share it. Cause like I told Liv - I believe this is going to be a touchstone - a point in my life I will come back to frequently and say "It was so right."
Hi Anita,
well, then you can assume this reading is a general one regarding relationships and you. I'll keep it simple and do a ten card Celtic Cross spread, explaining each card and each position and what they mean in connection with the other cards. The spread looks like this:
5 10
4 1 6 9
2 8
3 7
Here goes.
Card One - The Significator
This is the card that speaks about you and where you are right now in relation to the question on your mind.
The card is The HIEROPHANT, one of the Major Arcana cards. It is the card that talks about such things as tradition, stability and consistancy, and indicates that you are looking for someone as a life partner you can settle down and spend the rest of your life with.
Card Two - The Cross
This card talks of the barriers which exist that have prevented you from achieving your goal so far.
The card is another Major Arcana - DEATH, the card of endings leading to new beginnings. In this position it suggests that you have been hurt in a previous relationship and now have issues within yourself that are making it difficult to be yourself and find the right someone for you.
Card 3 - The Background
The events of long ago which began your journey to where you now find yourself.
Yet another Major Arcana, all these Majors indicating that there are no ambiguities in the reading; that you will understand the clues you are being given. The card is STRENGTH and in this context it suggests that the difficulties in achieving your goal stem from yourself, especially the yourself in times past. Were you overconfident and got hurt by someone who took advantage of you? Did you feel that you didn't need anyone and have let time go past? The card is suggesting something like that from some time ago has coloured your journey, bringing you to where you are now.
Card four - The Recent Past
The events that have happened to you in recent times that have made you discontent.
The Ace of Stones (Pentacles in many decks, coins in others) is an interesting card to appear here. An Earth card, it suggests that you are happy with your life and well grounded financially and in either education or work. It isn't in material things where you feel a lack or a want or a need, but in emotional things.
Card Five - The Now
Why you are here asking questions
Wow! The biggie of the Major Arcana and a card which is unique to this deck, the MULTIVERSE is the card of limitless possibilities. In this position, especially following the Ace of Stones, it suggests a person who sees the sands of time running and has begun to look for the gold at the end of the rainbow. You are seeking the answers to your life riddles and a solution to an emptiness you feel.
Card Six - The Desire
What is it that you would like to create for yourself?
The card is the Seven of Cups, a water/emotion card that says that you fear making the same mistakes as always and don't want to take what you can have but are prepared to wait for what is right for you, but secretly you are doubting if that 'right' thing or person will ever be there for you. Your creation is to do with finding the courage to reach for something more than what you have, which means acknowledging many issues in your life and your past.
Card Seven - The short term result
What will happen in the next few months?
The Three of Cups, another water card but this one speaks of new beginnings and the commencement of new projects or relationships; the suggestion is that you might become more active in your search or dating or whatever.
Card Eight - The Medium Term result
What will happen in the next 6 - 12 months?
The Father of Stones; a wonderful card to receive here. It suggests stability and peace and a positive direction in life with your goals beginning to be met and your dreams beginning to come true. It is a very masculine card and, in the context of this reading, suggests that you will find someone who "fits the bill" for you.
Card Nine - The Longer Term result
Often, the year or two years following the time of asking the original question.
The Five of Stones suggests that there will be difficulties for you to overcome in the longer term and these difficulties may stem from home or where to live or material things rather than finances or the relationship per se. It is highly suggestive of a situation arising where compromises will need to be made and choices that affect each of you in different ways will need to be discussed and a course of action agreed upon. Not a bad card, but one that suggests that life will still have its ordinary and mundane problems to contend with.
Card Ten - The Outcome card
This is the card that I often call the "looking back" card; when your journey is done, how will you look back on these times and the choices you made then?
The Two of Swords - the card of Peace and the contented union of two spirits. Whatever difficulties were faced in the period viewed here, the suggestion is that you will look back on the choices you made during this time as good and positive ones and be grateful for what this time brought you. It is a very positive card to receive in the Outcome Position.
There you go hon. I hope that helps you a bit.
Blessings always ................... Liv
And again to Livvie - Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. People, this woman is so totally fuckin' awesome. You should check her out...
