Jan. 2nd, 2009

Scarlett spent the first half of New Years Day in the loo, suffering frequent simultaneous bi-portal evacuations.  12:30 a.m. to approximately 8:30 a.m., every hour or two.  Thus we spent the remainder of the day napping.  She was fine by nightfall, but I still limited her to chicken noodle soup and saltines.  She'll eat like a pig today, I'm sure.

This hit my sister's house last weekend and affected every single person there, both residents and visitors.  Thank God for multiple bathrooms.  My stepdad brought it home and that's where Scarlett got it.   Now I'm just waiting for my turn.  I hope all that hand washing and laundry in hot water that I performed will grant me immunity.

Having shared THAT lovely bit of information, I have experienced the dawning revelation that many of my letters may not have been mailed.  I'm still not certain and will not know until I go home this evening, but my sister Sherry may have accurately lost faith in me.  No matter, I'll just buy more stamps this weekend and send them out.  It's not like it's the first time anyone has sent an annual update letter in January.

I'm off to the ladies', then going to pay a couple of bills for Brent.  I'm going to have to show him how to use the automatic bill pay system at our bank.  This is ridiculous.  I've been pressuring him to re-negotiate the interest rates on his cards.  He whines about hating to do it, but he will NEVER get out of debt paying 24.9%  Maybe it's a subconsious refusal to make himself marriagable.  Better to live alone and hate himself than make the effort to actually have contact with another human being.

Okay, now I'm disgusted.  I'd better stop ranting before I start grinding my teeth again.  Ciao bebbehs.
