Fair weekend. Can't complain, took in about $100 from the yard sale, which will go toward the loan
from the stepfather for half my rent - car ate my money. Brent's car is still in the garage, he should
hear something today. It will likely eat a lot of his money, and he will end up borrowing from his
mother. We are not fit to marry. At least not financially.
Scarlett is at mom's for the week. Mom and I are plotting to get her a little job working at
a local Mission with some friends of ours. They have a big family with lots of girls and
everybody just loves Scarlett. But they are strict and expect their girls to work hard as
well as play hard. I think they can help us instill in Scarlett a better sense of responsibility.
I hope I'm right. There just aren't enough things for her to do at my home, or at mom's.
She requires supervision and guidance that I desperately want to give her, but there just doesn't
seem to be a way to do that and work at the same time. I think I'm just lazy or something,
because I am drained at the end of a work day and can't seem to muster the force to make
her do things. It's this sort of thing that convinces me I'm not a good parent. Oh well.

who love her and Mike very much.
I ate like a pig at the reception and was a complete disappointment to Brent Saturday evening.
I couldn't bring myself to even go with him out to eat. He went to Subway and I slept on the sofa
from 7 to almost 9 p.m. I was borderline unconscious before he convinced me to lie down.
Saturday was a HAAARD day. But it was filled with good things.
