I gots a letter from [profile] puffdoggydaddy  It's an "N"

So here's my list of ten things I love that begin with "N".

1.  Nails on my back. For a while anyway, yes scritch scratch scratchit.
2.  Novels - I loves my brain candy.
3.  New babies - they have baby smell, sack of sugar feel, and give me mommy-thoughts.
4.  Nigel - I love to say that name.
5.  Nuances. Subtlety is sometimes lost on me in conversation, but more often than not I choose to ignore it, unless I'm making my own personal subtle digs.
6.  Night time is wonderful for sleeping or creeping or peeping.
7.  'Nita is a name people call me when they are very comfortable with me.  That's a nice thing.
8.  New RIver Gorge and Bridge is a beautiful example of why I love my state. This photo actually captures one of the primary reasons I love it here.  The sun hits those leaves and sets them on fire, but you can see that it's cool and kinda dark down by the water.  Hidden. That's what we are.  So many of us hidden in these hills, staying low close to the ground and the water that gives us life.  And oooh, that water. So clear, so cold, so delicious.  Refreshing to your feet or legs or body, your sense of smell is heightened and delighted and your mental state can be relaxed to hypnosis or razor sharp - depending on whether you're sitting on a rock or in a whitewater raft. lol
9.  Numismatics is an interesting hobby.  I like coins.
10.  Numerology is also interesting.  I've always seen numbers as tiny people. Some were male, some female, and all have distinct personalities.  My opinions don't really coincide with standard numerology, but it's interesting all the same.

Hey!

How come nobody has any of these, when we are all constantly doing this
in other peoples journals?

When all my belongings
Were gathered close
I drew comfort
In the lap of a chair.
It's embrace as soft and voluptuous
As my grandmother.
Spice of burning dust
Tendriled through my head,
Blanket protection hid
worrying fingers
From the darkness
Of afternoon December.
Kids In The Hall was
Compulsive mind numbing
And I forgot to laugh.

I remember.
And the joy of laughing
At The Chicken Lady
Is a relief.

Whoo hoo!

What the well-heeled witch is riding this fall:

This machine is made of awesome!  I borrowed mom's and called
her that night and said "Whatever you have to do, get me one of these."
I am in love.

And kittehs get a new spaceship out of the deal!   If you look at them closely you'll see they
are both quite solemn in this pic. I told them they looked like a couple of Culhanes.
They were not amused.
