The trip to the mall last night was nice, Scarlett got a sweet bear, and she was very well behaved. I exhausted myself by trying to shop at Macys after we were done at Build A Bear, and ended up coming home because I was too tired to buy anything. I was in fact SO tired that I took a pain pill and a couple swallows of cough syrup. The cough is nagging, and trying to come back. My nose is stopped up, too. I hope it's the change of weather and not the kittens.
Brent's ex-ex-girlfriend doesn't smile or speak to me in the halls any more. This has me QUITE perturbed and intrigued. Pavanne says I shouldn't ask him about it, just file it away for later. But you know me, I wanna poke and prod and find out what he's been saying, if anything. Maybe it was just a fluke. But I don't think so, cause another woman was with her, and SHE smiled and spoke. mrrrrrrow
Don't know what we're doing tonight, probably working on Scarlett's Social Studies project. She's got to create a "salt map" using homemade dough to form rivers and mountains etc etc. I HATE THESE THINGS. But it has to be done by Monday. Maybe we'll go to a late movie or something, too.
Her birthday party is tomorrow at mom's house, and we're looking forward to that. I taught her how to play "spoons" last night (not the musical kind, the card game) and we can't wait to try it out at the party. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
No word from Brent, probably won't hear from him at all this weekend. And if I do, I won't be going to see him - Scarlett's staying home most all weekend. That's alright, will make him miss me if I'm not around. God knows I miss HIM enough. Hope Scarlett and I don't end up at each other's throats though, by spending so much time together.
One bitchy point - the new people in the apartment over ours have a dog. They've been letting it out on their back deck, which is of course directly over mine. He cries and carries on if he's out there very long, which is a bit annoying at night, but my biggest concern is that he might be PEEING out there. Which means it would be dripping down onto MY deck. If I find out this is happening, my landlord will get an EARFUL. If I can't use my deck due to dog piss I will be raising ten kinds of hell.
Oh well. Back to the salt mine.
And for those who care - Ell is well.
