I'll be on in the morning, to check my email - then I'm offline until Thursday night.
We went to the zoo today, and had a good time, although I'm exhausted to the point of pain right now.
It was about 92 degrees today, so the animals were lethargic. The lions were lounging, and several people were making lame attempts to roar, or make some other noise in order to rouse them. The male would turn his head and watch us, and then look away, soooo very bored. Finally, he pulled himself up off his side, and proceeded to mount and mate with the lioness who had been lying beside him. This went on for about 5 solid minutes, with children screaming "eewwww!" and parents either guiding the tots away, or watching in mild amusement, while a few of us hooted with laughter. I offered up a round of applause just before the lioness reached back and gave her mate a swat and a half-assed roar. They tussled a bit, then she rolled onto her back, splay-legged, while he flopped back down on the ground, with his head on the inside of her thigh. Scarlett had caught the last few minutes, and was properly grossed out, while I sat on a bench chuckling with glee. She said "Well that didn't take very long" And I replied "No, but he'll be back at it in an hour or two, and they'll continue like that for a couple of days. Maybe when we come back next year, they'll have a cub" Scarlett thought that sounded like far too much sex, while a couple of lesbians winked at me when I mentioned I thought she was a lucky girl.
My sister gave me the third degree about Brent on the way home, and I welcomed the chance to sell him a bit. He would get along well with both my sister and my dad. I can't help but think about it, although I'm ashamed of myself.
Scarlett asked me this evening what my feelings were for him. I'm not really ready to tell her more than I already have. But with a Virgo, you have to slowly build up the information you give them. They don't like surprises. And I'm projecting far too much anyway.
We're going to hit the beach Wednesday, I think. My car was repaired today, a power steering pump replaced to the tune of $320 that I didn't have, and will have to pay back to my father at a later date. It was a huge stressor, but I'm okay now. Looking forward to moving on, tho.
Good nite all.
