No date.

Good reasons, but it doesn't ease things.

I'm going to the store, and possibly to see DaVinci Code tonight. Fuck this.

And just in case I had any doubts:

sugarcoatedbitch911's Daily Virgo Forecast
Quickie: No one has experienced life exactly the way you have -- advice is pointless today.
Overview: Humility is an underrated virtue. It doesn't mean you're weak -- not at all. Being humble means that you have the strength to know what's truly important and to do your best to bring it about, regardless of personal gain.

Everyone is taking their own journey through life, and that's liberating -- but it can also be isolating, because no one else can truly understand what you are experiencing. Take this fact to heart when those 'in the know' offer you unsolicited advice today. They have your best interest at heart, but in the end their thoughts are based on their own goals -- not yours. Stick to what you feel. This is no time to start navigating by someone else's maps -- you could get lost.

Ahhhh. MUUUCH better.

I went shopping. I needed disks to back up my data, I needed to get the end papers for my book, and I needed purple earrings because Scarlett lost mine. I figured I'd hit the cinema, and see DaVinci Code since I didn't know anyone else who wanted to see it. I'd just see it alone this afternoon.

Well, I didn't get the purple earrings, because FatBug didn't have any. But I did get this fantastic new tank that really brings out the color of my eyes.

I would have put them behind a cut, but I'm lazy.  The color of the shirt is kinda rare, don't see it much, but it really works for me. So should I ever actually have a date, it will be an asset, because it emphasizes my wonder-twin powers o'doom, and my eyes. lol  And if I don't ever have a date, I'll be comfy.

Anyway, so I sat through 15 minutes of previews and then saw DaVinci Code. I enjoyed it very much. It cut some things from the book, which is to be expected, but I think it actually made the story more coherent. However, it did kinda limp over a few 'whys and wherefores'. And if you're not into self-flagellation, it has some parts not for the squeamish. (like me) I just covered my eyes. lol  A lot of people are bashing this movie, but it gave me a wonderful feeling inside. I know the book is bunkum, but the core premises aren't. i came out of the movie reminded of the signs of femininity that surround me. A little bit of me felt very special for a while.

Some hilarious mindless movies coming out this summer. Talladega Nights: The Story of Ricky Bobby and Click look do-able. Sandler is going to be 40 this year, just a couple days before my own birthday. He's such a sweetie. Hope I can drag Roy or some other poor unfortunate soul out with me to see at least these two.
