Hypertension and Nose Bleeds
Jan. 8th, 2006 08:42 pmI've been reading, after talking with a friend of my mother's. High blood pressure can cause nosebleeds, as a natural means of relieving some of the pressure. But it occurs in the upper septum. And my bleeds are taking place in the lower septum. I don't know, I think it's still a good possibility that increased blood pressure was a partial cause. After all, this has been one of the most stressful weeks I can remember. Between Brent, Tom, Scarlett, high-sodium foods for the holidays, all the alcohol I have been drinking over the last few weeks with Brent, and too much caffeine, it really is a wonder that my head hasn't just popped right off.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do to ease the stress this week. Pot doesn't really do it for me when I'm alone. Codeine does, but I had only one pill yesterday, and the rebound headache and back pain were miserable. I really gotta quit taking that stuff. Deep breathing exercises that my therapist taught me - yeah, I need to get back to that. I need to finish getting my house in order. Maybe light some candles again tonight.
See? None of these things make me think "Yeah, that's gonna work". Nothing. Nothing nothing nothing.
Maybe I'll just cry some more.
