Bleh! 

Found a long piece of green plastic on the floor yesterday. Don't know where it came from, looked like Easter grass, but it obviously wasn't. 

So I threw it away.  Mistakenly threw it in the bathroom trashcan, which has no lid.  


Mitzi will eat ANYTHING. 



So this morning I'm makin' icons and Mitzi comes slinkin' out of the kitty bathroom. Then she starts this dance, like she's lost her faculties. I thought she was chasing a bug at first, but she just wouldn't stop!  Four steps to the left, chasing her tail. Then four steps to the right, chasing her tail. But her tail was high in the air, and somehow, I knew it wasn't her tail she was chasing. Still thought it was a bug, but turned the light on so she could see what she was doing. 

And there it was.  Loooooooooooong green plastic, hangin' outta her butt.  I got it, but it broke, and by the time I'd washed my hands TWICE, she was doin' the dance again.  I got some toilet paper this time, and pulled out two more pieces, much to her disgust and frustration. She HATES being held down, of course. 

Nastiest shit on the planet.  Smells like chicken salad.  (guilty of that indulgence)

Haha... it has always cracked me up how my cats would run around at Christmas time with tinsel hanging out of their butts, looking all festive.

Man, if I had been planning on chicken salad for lunch, I sure wouldn't want it any more. Might not ever want it again.

It's always fun when you can tell where they've been due to the trail behind. We gave up regular dental floss as they would always dig it out of the baskets.

I guess. I'm still not too impressed with the drugs. Up at 5:30 because my legs are twitchy and I can't rest until I've had a bite to eat and done a couple things. I yawn the entire time I'm up, and crash after a couple of hours.

One of my worst childhood memories is of the time my Mom found a small piece of string hanging out of our cats mouth. She gave it a tug and realized he had swallowed it, so she though she should pull it back up. Only it was a balloon string like six feet long. She she was on the floor in a surreal tug o war with the cat and he was going "Gak! Gak! Gak!" It was terrible!

My aunt's cat died from eating curling ribbon. Poor kitties!

A friend of mine told me the other day that she used to think it was cute that her cat would flip coins in the air to play with it . . . until he got sick and the vets couldn't figure out what was wrong. It turned out, he had a nickel lodged in his intestine.

Sidney has eaten a tampon before. I was so relieved when I saw a tampon laying out in the yard a week later! LOL.

My two cents: Persimmon's half-sister, Salem, plays with, chews, and apparently eats rubber bands. I know as I found said buried treasure in the Buried Treasure when sifting out the sandbox. Lucky that cat didn't get her innards all wisted u.

Yeah, I actually saw one of our cats using the litter box and thought he was bleeding from his butt. It turned out to be a bright red rubberband in his poo.

I once pulled a long, skinny balloon-animal balloon out of Yoda's butt (it was yellow for a while, and then it was yellow and brown, haha ugh). I have also caught her and had to pull a piece of long skinny elastic string from her mouth and however far down it had gotten.

She will eat ANYTHING.
