Dam!

Marmot Dam, Sandy River, Oregon

Watch as Mother Nature amazes engineers.

Those people are just as full of mud as that dam! They did the same thing(never been done before?), here in Maine with the Edward's Mill Dam on the Kennebec River in Augusta(do these people read or talk to each other at all?). That was less than ten years ago. The same thing happened; the river recovered in a very small FRACTION of the time the "experts" predicted. We are now catching Atlantic Salmon and Sturgeon more than 20 miles upstream. Now they are contemplating the removal of another dam on a tributary of the that river. The same debate is going on AGAIN. How many times do they have to be shown that the river will recover herself, before they take the hint?

GAH!

That IS strange, because I know for certain dam officials across the country do indeed talk to one another at least once a year. Still, sometimes folks don't pay much attention when they're at a big conference type function.

PG&E? Isn't that the same company Erin Brockovich successfully sued? Yay for Mother Nature!

Don't remember, but probably.
