Night is a woman
Dark
With a long black curtain of hair
Stretching across the landscape
Breathing soft whispered mystery.
Wrapped in tulle and satin
Allowing one by one
Her precious jewels to shine
As her platinum pendant of moon
Rises from her breast
To become the jewel
In her crown

Thanks. I don't normally like poetry online either. In fact, I cringe at the WORD 'poetry'. eeee But I found this picture, and somehow, this thing I had written down long ago came to mind. I have a moon fetish. It holds a very powerful draw for me.
