What made me laugh out loud this morning

Suzi doesn't mind watching t.v. with me, as long as I'm watching an animal show. She even wanders off during the commercials and comes back when the show comes on again.

Does it irritate you when people never answer comments you make? Does it bother you when those same people have you on their friends list but never have much to say to you? I realize I often don't have things posted here that require or spawn comment. And I also realize that when you post a comment to someone that doesn't ask a question, etc., there is no need to answer it. I'm simply wondering how other people feel about these sorts of things.

And yes, I DO write here for my own satisfaction and benefit. But I love the interaction.

I was laughing out loud, too!

My dogs watch TV too. Animal Planet! One of my little dogs barks at dogs, elephants and birds ha! That your cat wanders off during commercials made me LOL! Cats are smart.

As for comments - I tend to live and let live. The only thing that gets me pissed off is if I comment and pay attention and I get zero in return.

That's no fun at all.

I love the interaction too, but I just don't get to do it as much as I'd like. I'm working on getting better at it though.

Tee hee...cute video.

Sometimes I like the interaction, sometimes not. If I think the person is saying something just for the sake of making a comment, I nearly always skip responding. Or if I think it may lead to a flame war in some way, I ignore it. It's one of those "it depends" things.

The entry before this one on my list also contained kitties.

It also made me giggle.

I share with you because I care.

*grin*

Linking it here because it might not be work safe for language. (Better safe than sorry, eh?)

I try to answer comments. If somebody can be bothered to read what I write and comment on it, I feel it deserves an acknowledgment.

That is, until the 74th person responds with a simple "cute" to a picture of my child. I get bored typing "thanks" over and over again, even if it is the polite thing to do. :P

Some days, though, I just can't get my head in the right place to think of anything to say, either in commenting to someone's journal, or responding to comments in mine. I appreciate them, but I don't want to just type something to be typing. Then there's always the problem of how long to carry on a thread before one or the other person runs out of meaningful discourse on the subject. :)

I try to make it a point to answer every comment made on my journal just because I don't want people to feel that I'm ignoring them. If they ask a question I'd rather not answer there I contact them elsewhere to answer.

I don't expect most of my comments on other people's journals to be replied to, it's generally a surprise if there is a response. :)

I love the interaction too, but I realize I'm an unemployed girl sitting at home, not everybody has that kind of time. ;)

The cute factor on that kitty is incredible.

I don't always comment, nor do I always respond to a comment in my own blog. It depends entirely on what's being said. I mean, if I've gotten 3 "aw, how cute" responses, chances are I'll reply directly to one or none of them. If all I have to say is "I agree" or "I got nothing to say to that" then I don't often see the need to put it down.

I don't expect comments (although I like them, of course) and I really don't expect people to answer comments. Some people on my flist get so many comments I don't know how they have the time to read them all, much less answer them!

I do feel bad that I frequently don't answer comments, but I get busy and then I think 'well, it's been so long now, will it seem weird if I answer it now?' I should just do it as soon as the comments arrive, I know.

Oh, and one thing I'd wondered is, if I post, and everyone says pretty much the same thing (say, I post a picture and everyone says 'pretty') is it allright to make a new post with a blanket 'thank you' or does LJ etiquette require one to personally thank each commentor? Oh, dear. I never thought I'd wonder about such things!

I always read and enjoy you, but I don't usually comment unless I have something relevant to say. I do enjoy the interaction and would love more of it, but can't always think of an intelligent comment to leave. I don't get too bent out of shape if a comment goes unanswered but I really appreciate when I do get a reply.

Since some of my favorite bloggers don't bother answering every comment they get I've always thought it must not be considered impolite; but I'm trying to be a little better about answering comments myself since I know it feels a lot friendler when you don't ignore people who took the time to say something.

It does bug me a little when I post an entry and no one replies. I always wonder if I was boring, or offensive, or what.

Sometimes, it's hard to know what to say, honestly. When someone makes an explicit point of soliciting feedback, I almost always comment. However, I am often playing catch up, and generally don't want to do lots of "me, too" comments.

However, because I'm not that prolific with comments (and even less so with entries), I can't get upset when entries get few or no comments.

I always read you

even if I don't comment much

It does irritate mem however of late I've not had internet and have had to post via the cell. Commenting had been difficult at best with the cell. but now that my home net is up and running things are gonna change, I tell you! change is coming soon, and it is gonna be a bright sun shiney day.

I don't know what just came over me :)
