Final for the weekend
Owie. Fibromyalgia reared it's ugly head last night after working on Scarlett's room for several hours, and I ran a low-grade fever. Still fevered today, and aching in every fibro-related place, skin, forearms, femurs, back. Cold cold cold all day, which is a side effect, and just exacerbates the misery.
Otherwise, I'm exhausted. Well, maybe in related news I'm exhausted. Have been fighting sleep all day. Am not going to Brent's tonight, I'm just too tired and I desperately need silence and sleep. Today is my mom's birthday so Scarlett and I will go to dinner with mom and my stepdad, then Scarlett will go home with mom. I'm supposed to go hear Mom's choir sing tonight, Brent's mother has been invited. But I'm not sure I can do it. I'm dragging, and SO sore and miserable. I just want to hold my kitties under my blanket and snuggle. I hope mom will understand.
Saturday's poetry society chapter meeting has been cancelled, and I'm disappointed. I was actually thinking of reading. Holly and I will have to get together sometime soon.
I'll probably stay with Brent Saturday night. His best friend's wife is in the hospital, so we'll need to go see her if she's still there tomorrow. I like Brenda and Jamie a lot, we have fun together. If she's still in the hospital, maybe we'll take Jamie out to eat or something. Or both of them if she's home.
Sunday is brunch at Courtney's new apartment. I've volunteered to make omelets, cause I can do that. I might whip up date balls too, during the time I would have been reading poetry. Can't wait to see her new kitten, and drink mimosas and laugh with my girlfriends.
Hey! I have girlfriends! How cool is that? I actually feel like I'm fitting into a little circle of LJ-related friends that Leigh has gathered around her. It's been absolutely ages since I've had more than one or two people to hang out with. I am the oldest one in the bunch, but they can't really tell most the time, and neither can I. So it's all good.
