I found this quite interesting. Saw it yesterday and meant to post the link, but got sidetracked by LJ entries. "Hatfield & McCoy" illness. An' here I thot we wuz just "cuss-ed". Taaarrrrrnation! No, I'm not really a Hatfield OR a McCoy. I'm just Appalachian. That whole "cussed" business runs deep in them thar hills. In other news: Daaaaaaaaaaaaaymn!!!

My dad's family traces back to Hatfields, but they were in Tennessee. Probably the same origins, though.
