Thursday Morning

""What this study illustrates is that there are genetic programs that increase survival of the species because there are hormones in women that are cuing their reactions to the hormones of the men," said Dr. Daniel Alkon, scientific director of the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute in Morgantown, W.Va., and Washington."

Taken from this:  Women Get Paternal Clues From A Man's Face

My psychologist also says that women are more physically attracted to men who would help them produce healthy offspring. Genetically, and stuff.

All I know is I like a little hardness in his jaw, and a little softness in his eyes.

It's raining here, finally. After threats for a couple days. I have an office on an outside hallway, but I don't have a window. I'm also on the first of three floors. So I SHOULDN'T be hearing RAIN. Dammit. It sounds as if water is running down in a rush, just on the other side of my wall. It's a little freaky.

I've been in a lot of pain these last couple of days, with the rain threat hanging over us. I've been very active (for me) which has brought on quite a bit of painful numbness in my upper back. I wake up hurting every morning, and can't bring myself to dress up much, because that would mean wearing heels and I just can't.   I hope I feel like doing some yoga tonight. I haven't felt up to it in a while.

All in all? I'm not as good as I seem. But that's nothing new. I hide a lot - even from you people.

The Mysterious Arthritis Or Something in my leg has been going NUTS with this weather.

(mysterious because it's undiagnosable. had xrays, mri, physical therapy, only answer was 'some arthritis' although it's more muscular/nerve pain)

Fiboromyalgia. Muscular pain, aggravated by weather. Betcha.

yes, we all hide it sometimes. We are forecast with 10 days of rain, this is day 3. I can feel all the places I've damaged over the years, mostly my knees. I have the gym this afternoon and it will be tough to get through. And then fasting bloodwork tomorrow for my quarterly check up. it sucks getting old.

Yeah. We should compare lists sometime. I bet they're very close.

Well I dont know about the attracted to men who would give heathly off springs. My bf and I have plenty of medical problems between us that our child (if we even have any) could be very ill yet be able to live life like nothing is really worng. There is at least 8 things I counted between us with out getting in to the subcatergories of the illness. That really did make me laugh when I heard about it on the news. I supposed if you are the type of girl that wants to have kids then you would want a guy that would give you a heathly off spring if not then it doesnt really matter. Cause I still dont really know if I want kids ever.

I never wanted them either. But I got one. Fortunately she's healthy as a horse, despite the slightly poor vision she inherited from us both, and the tendency in both our families toward obesity.

I am glad she is healthy. Poor vision sucks. Both his and my family have really sucky vision. I for example have wore classes since I was five and im going on 24
